UNS N06625 - 2.4856
Alloy 625, Inconel 625 ®
Quick facts & description:
UNS N06625, also known as Alloy 625, Inconel 625 ®, outstanding corrosion resistance such as free from pitting and crevice, high corrosion-fatigue strength, resistance to chloride-ion cracking, oxidation resistance, good weldability and service from cryogenic temperature to 982°C, make A625 an excellent material for a wide range of corrosive environments.
The combination of the above with high tensile, creep, rupture strength, thermal-fatigue strength properties, makes Alloy 625 a top choice for several applications:
marine & submarine such as valves, navy engines/turbine components, seals, submerged control devices,
aerospace such as ducting systems, exhaust, engine control housings, fuel tubing, thrust reverse,
turbines components as shrouds, seals, compressor vanes, thrust chamber tubing. petro & chemical mostly as processing vessels and tubing, heat transfer systems tubing, heat-exchangers, reaction vessels, distillation columns and valves, nuclear mostly as reactor-core, control components in water reactors.
Main chemistry:
Ni > 58% ; Cr 20-23% ; Mo 8-10% ; Fe < 5% ; Nb+Ta 3.15-4-15%
Main fields of application:
Aerospace, Energy, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical
