Alloy 783, Inconel 783 ®
Quick facts & description:
Oxidation resistance, resistance to stress accelerated grain boundary oxidation, low expansion coefficient, high temperature service, good manufacturing/processing characteristics make the UNS R30783, also known as Alloy 783, Inconel 783 ®, an outstanding alloy choice for land based gas turbines and jet engines. It finds application mostly into rings, casings, shrouds, seals, compressors hardware, exhaust systems.
It is generally comparable as characteristics and field of application to Alloy 718 and Alloy 909.
